Position Summary:
The individual selected will report directly to the Executive Vice President. The individual will assist with fostering and maintaining a proactive approach to safety and the promotion of an employee centered safety work culture.
Position Requirements:
This position requires a motivated individual to provide oversight and support to management, primarily for Corporate safety & risk management functions, as well as administrative duties associated with safety & risk management. The individual must be detail oriented and have excellent communication/office skills, along with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and take initiative. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power Point and other related computer software is required for this position. Local and out of town/overnight travel will be required.
Prior managment of safety professionals is required!
Physical Capabilities:
The individual may be required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., as well as climb, stoop, bend, twist, sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. Individual must be able to drive for extended periods of time, and when visiting projects, will be exposed to a construction environment, including heat, cold, heights, and uneven ground.

| Duties: | Major Job Responsibilities:
Corporate Safety Support:
Will oversee hiring, reviews, and overall activity for team of safety coordinators.
� Traveling Safety person for job sites
Fill in for Site Safety people (vacations, absences, etc.)
Support / assist Superintendents on jobs w/o full time safety person
Multiple employee orientations
On site for difficult / out of the ordinary tasks (setting beams, demo, air/hearing monitoring, lead, overtime issues, etc.)
JSA assistance
Incident assistance / investigations
Conduct job site safety walk thrus (inspections of power tools, cords, hazards, etc.)
PPE -- on site inspections, order & replace, deliver to job site, administer training
Fall protection -- harnesses, lanyards
Respirators -- familiar with various types, perform respirator fit testing
o Collect Job Safety Analysis reports - Review, correct, evaluate and provide feedback to jobsites

Coordinate, document and track OSHA Campus online training (10, 30, 40 hour)
Schedule & prepare for any internal or outside safety training courses
Work with recruiting/training specialist as it involves safety related training & maintaining employee training certificates
� Knowledge of OSHA, Army Corp, MSHA, ANSI regulation & Brayman's Corporate Safety Policies & Procedures
o Create, review & revise Corporate Safety Polices & Procedures
o Create Site Specific Safety Plans
� Shop & Yard / Office
o Monthly fire extinguisher inspections -- familiar with NFPA regulations
o Conduct periodic safety inspections
o Conduct Tool Box Talks
o Manage any incidents that occur (take injured employee to clinic, write incident report / conduct investigation, etc.)
o Assist with DOT issues
� Safety Committee
o Oversee and maintain all administrative functions for the Committee (agendas, handouts)
o Create Safety Alerts
o Take minutes at each meeting and subsequently type and distribute
o Track assignments of Safety Committee members, prepare handouts if needed and distribute
o Assist with preparation of and attend Annual Safety Meeting
� MSDS - maintain master binder
o Create chemical inventory list for job sites
Risk Management Functions:
� Insurance
o Become familiar with Traveler's RMIS on line system (reporting & accessing claims information, creating reports for various uses, etc.)
o Report claims utilizing Traveler's on line reporting system
o Maintain files of incident Reports for Auto, General Liability, Equipment/Property
o Maintain & distribute print outs of current Loss Run reports
o Attend claims review meetings
o Review & reconcile Traveler's monthly invoices ($ paid on each claim & total)
o Become familiar with Lost Time Incident rates, OSHA 300 Logs, Pre-qualification questions & answers
o Maintain current list for distribution of Auto Incident packets for vehicles
o Create & maintain listing of all insurance information for all companies

� OSHA & MSHA
o Audit safety and health programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations and adequacy.
o Maintain Company OSHA 300 logs
o Submit monthly and quarterly MSHA reports
o Ensure employees are trained under Part 46 and Part 48 MSHA regulations

o Maintain all related paperwork

� BS in Safety Sciences
� OSHA 500 Trainer
Requirements:
� Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
� Competency in using Microsoft Word & Excel
� Must be willing to accept moderate travel to different project locations
� Must have references that demonstrate prior experience managing a multi-site program
� 5+ years experience in the general construction industry preferably civil infrastructure and specialty geotechnical experience.
� Comfortable working/teaching knowledge of the following:
